FiltaMask is indicated for all patients requiring an oxygen supply, but presenting a respiratory infection which can be a source of dispersion of pathogens.
Patients with respiratory infections requiring special care are potentially at risk. A conventional oxygen mask can through its exhalation ports generate a cloud of particles that can travel up to 0.4 meters [1] [2], hence the potential risk of contamination.
